Link 9 May 3 notes Look, hydro people -- we have our own legend! ..... .. uhm yeah. About that..... »

Sigh.

Ok. As if Jason  (though it’s a cool bit of trivia, no?)  wasn’t enough…. now there is this.

I’m posting it here, because I reblogged a post about it from someone else, then I got curious and googled it.

I just… you know. I don’t know how I feel about this.

Witchcraft? Imbreeding? Murder?

Where does stuff like this come from?

The legend itself is unsettling, but… lets think about how it got started?

Was there a kid with hydrocephalus in the neighborhood that creeped people out? Because.. I mean, lets face it. As common as the condition is… most people don’t use it as a common household term.

So… what made someone decide that these kids with hydrocephalus, were some kind of horror movie monsters?

Sigh.  Blogging about this was probably a bad idea…. because, well, quite frankly, it makes me want to go all urban legend “melonhead” on someone.

:(
